For me, to be a photographer is to be an observer of the world around us. The camera is a mere tool through which observations can be captured. A photographer’s art is capturing the observation at the decisive moment; providing the viewer with an image that captures their imagination.
My eye has always been attracted to beauty and humour. My subject matter is an eclectic mix of people and culture (particularly at celebrations and festivals), landscapes (including seascapes, skyscapes and cityscapes), wildlife and the abstract patterns in nature.
I aim to capture a poetic stillness in time which makes the photographs timeless.
